Not only is Taiwan a popular travel destination, but its deep food culture is also deeply rooted in the lives of Japanese people. Even if you can't travel or are at home, we can bring you a Taiwan that you can enjoy with all your senses.

郷菜ShiangTsaiの歩み

2018年、世界の人々に台湾の食文化を伝えようと、The Coriander Cooking Studio郷菜という台湾料理教室としてスタートしました。

 

台湾のグルメは、決して小籠包だけではありません。台湾茶、薬膳料理、歴史と強く繋がっている行事食、南国ならではの発酵調味料、原住民の調理法や食材などには、この土地の歴史と強く繋がっている融合後に新しく生まれた食文化があり、今のグルメ大国に辿り着いた理由なのです。

 

小籠包やパイナップルケーキなど、身近な台湾料理から面白くて深い台湾食文化を料理教室を通じて発信してきました。食文化に興味を持つ人々が世界から台湾に来て、ここの料理教室を台湾における旅の最初の目的地として訪れ、料理を通じて台湾の地理、歴史、文化、民族、観光のオススメスポットのアドバイスなどの情報を手に入れて旅に立ちました。

 

ポストコロナの時代では、リアルの教室だけでなく、オンラインで繋がり、音声や映像などのツールを使った新たな体験アクティビティーが生まれました。

 

2022年は、海を超えた、より身近な、お家で楽しめる台湾、そして旅行に出なくても五感で楽しめる台湾を提案していきたいと思い、新しくスタートしました。

We want to preserve the cuisine of our hometown, the true taste of Taiwan, where we come from.

We chose this name with the hope of spreading Taiwanese food culture to more people.

In particular, we would like to introduce local cuisine, festival foods, and traditional, homemade flavors.

After attending high school in the United States, he graduated from Osaka University's School of Foreign Studies. After working for a Japanese developer, he switched to working as a tour planner for a major Taiwanese travel agency. He became fascinated with learning about the food culture of each region through cooking classes he attended while traveling, so he quit his job and spent two years training in cooking and hospitality services at a famous creative cuisine restaurant in Taipei.

In 2018, he became independent and founded and headed the Korean Cooking Studio Gonai.

In 2022, Korean Cooking Studio Gosai will be rebranded as "Gosai ShiangTsai" to continue promoting Taiwanese food culture online and proposing "enjoying Taiwan with all your senses at home."

Qualifications |

He is a certified chef in the National Taiwanese Cuisine Examination (Chinese Cuisine Class C), and graduated from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry's Taiwanese Tea Examiner Training Course (beginner and intermediate grades in the Tea Leaf Certification and Quality Evaluation of the Executive Yuan Agricultural Commission).

Fascinated by markets and food culture rather than cooking methods, she spreads Taiwanese food culture through cooking classes, and also provides consulting on how to present Taiwanese cuisine to overseas consumers, international branding for local small-scale farmers, multilingual marketing, package design, and more.
